The hourly rate for all tours is Euro 65 for 1 adult, Euro 75 for 2 adults, Euro 95 for 3 adults, and Euro 100 for 4 adults. For groups larger than four adults or for rates with children, please inquire.

The hourly fee does not include entrance tickets, meals or transportation if applicable.  There is an additional service fee of Euro 20 for reserving tickets to the Forum, Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, and/or the Borghese Gallery.  There is a euro 25 surcharge for reserving areas, which are usually off-limits to the general public (e.g. the Colosseum's hypogeum and third tier, underground attractions like the Colombarium of Pomponius Hylas and the Nymphaeum on Via Annibaldi).

Payment is made at the end of the visit in Euro or with a personal bank check. If you use the last option, I request that the exchange rate which my bank uses is applied to the dollar sum (it is a little higher than the "going" rate) and that you cover my bank's handling fee (Euro 20).

Tour Duration

Tours are carefully designed in order to provide a full and informative experience.  If you have special needs and would prefer an abbreviated tour, I am more than happy to customize tours for you.  There is, however, a minimum three-hour fee.  Longer visits will be charged at the rates listed above.

Customer Responsibility

When we finalize our plans by settling on a meeting place, we are happy to give you advice about how to reach it--but it is your responsibility to understand exactly where it is and how to get there.  Please be punctual.  The clock will start running at the pre-arranged time.  Do not rely on the telephone number listed on this webpage to make last-minute adjustments--it is not a cell phone.  If you need to reschedule or cancel, you may do so a week before the tour without being charged.  Finally, customers who fail to show up will be billed for half the tour (calculating its average length).

Last Minute Changes

Jet-lag, contretemps, and the unexpected are all part of international travel.  After you arrive in Rome, you may find that you need to start a visit later than you had thought; you or your group may prefer a visit different than the one you requested; or you may need to postpone a visit to a different day.  When possible, I am more than happy to accommodate changes in visitors' tour schedule.  As you plan, please keep in mind, however, that I may not be able to adjust my schedule to meet your needs.  If we are unable to reorganize an appointment, it may be treated as a last-minute cancellation (see Customer Responsibility above).

Book in Advance

Let us know what day(s), time(s), and tour(s) you're interested in.  You can contact us via email or telephone.

When you decide to book a tour, please pre-pay entrance fees by check or credit card (entrance fees are listed at the end of the detailed tour descriptions). The day and time you decide on will be reserved with a $15 deposit.
